Eduardo Garcia Aguilar was born in Manizales, Colombia, near the volcanoes, 7 september 1953. Bachelor of Agustin Gemelli College (1971), has studied sociology at the National University of Colombia and political economics and Philosophy at the University of Paris VIII, Vincennes (1974-1979). He lived in Berkeley and San Francisco (California) in 1980, and then 15 years in Mexico City, where he published almost all his books in spanish. He worked as a journalist for Agence France Presse in México (1986-1998) and then at the headquarters of AFP in Paris, from 1998 until today. His books, Boulevard of heroes, Luminous cities, Mexico Madness, The triumphant voyage, are translated by Jay Miskowiec and published in USA for www.aliformgroup.com He writes also poetry and essays.
