Evalyn Fulmer was born and raised in south Texas and still calls it home. From the time she was ten years old she wanted to write (maybe even before that) and she wrote stories to pass around to entertain her friends. She married her high school sweetheart and had a large family. When their youngest child started school, Evalyn decided to go back to college as a full-time student. With five of her nine children still at home, Evalyn completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and all of the course work for a Master of Arts, also in English. To add to this workload, before she was quite finished, she began working full-time at a Branch Library as an assistant librarian. For several years she did the story times for children and also led the book discussion group for adults. When she quit to write full-time, she received word that her book, GLIMMER, would be published. Later the same year, THE FIRST DAY'S NIGHT was published, both in trade paperback. FATAL MISTAKE was published in hardcover by Avalon but Amazon bought the publishing rights and made it available as an ebook! Evalyn then completed a M.Ed. with a Specialty in Reading and published a fourth and fifth book, THE PURPLE EGG MYSTERY and DOUBLE EXPOSURE. These days she keeps busy arranging book signings, leading the book club at the same library branch where she used to work, and writing, writing, writing.
