Pain magic, world building, and a beautiful cover. The hero...yeah I was not a fan. I'm torn on whether to continue this series. Those are really pretty covers!

Urban fantasy cyber-punk. How did I not know I needed this in my life? I really enjoyed this book. It's a fast read and I just really enjoyed it all.
