More telling instead of showing. I was hoping that the writing would improve, but nope. Also, if you are talking to your father, you can capitalise 'dad'. In all other cases, nope, no caps there. Same with mom.

As a big fan of Rhiannon Frater's work, and a lover of the first book in the series, The First Days, I have no legitimate reason why it's taken me so long to read the second book. Maybe I was a little scared that the second wouldn't live up to the memories of just how much I enjoyed the first book.P...

Fighting to Survive is the second book of the As the World Dies series. The story continues and it doesn't disappoint. This book made me cringe, cry, and cackle. People are found and people die. I wonder who the vigilante is? I had my pick, but after this person reacted a certain way later, I no longer am sure it's them.

Whew! Man, my head is in a whirl. That was intense! While I'm glad that I don't live in a world where I need to be, there's a part of me that wishes I were as badass as Nerit. That bitch ROCKS. The trucks were about ten feet from the gate when Juan gave the signal. The crane, which had been statione...

Fine. I'll make it 2.5. I was unimpressed. So much potential, so little execution. Might review later. Might not. Sigh.

I've been looking forward to getting back with Jenni and Katie as they fight their way through zombie hoards and figure out their complicated lives, and I'm happy to say that Fighting to Survive is a superbly thrilling read! Frater has once again balanced the violence, gore and horror of a zombocalp...
