I haven't read much King but I've enjoyed the few I have read. This one was an interesting concept and made me think a lot of Carrie before she got to high school but overall I enjoyed it.

I remember reading this book as a 12 year old and thinking, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be an experiment. To have the psychic power for fire is awesome. Although telekinesis would be better. This is the story which got me started into these paranormal kind of stories.
I was okay with the paranormal aspect of this story because it wasn't really the point. It's a story about people who want to take a little girl away from her father, and his efforts to protect her. And that was a good story.
