Another stephen King classic - if you have watched the film then you don't know the full story and REALLY need to read this book, you just learn so much more about the characters, the experiment and fall in love with the Firestarter all over again - when an innocent life is destroyed and her power a...

I haven't read much King but I've enjoyed the few I have read. This one was an interesting concept and made me think a lot of Carrie before she got to high school but overall I enjoyed it.

Stephen King at his best. With a few exceptions King isn't good at big-picture stuff. When he doesn't take the time to build up a good central character all you can focus on is the absurdity of the situation, or we get treated to a cast of people so mammoth that even over 1,000 pages gives them each...

Great book!! One of my favourite Stephen King novels so far. It's been a long time since I read this book but I would definitely pick it up again.

Drew Barrymore is exactly the same age as me; my crush on her started with ET and never went away.

Another recommendation from my then-boyfriend, now-husband. Typical Stephen King: sucks you in by page 2 and you can't put the book down until the end.

In my memory a decent book, but I enjoyed The Shining and Misery more.

I remember reading this book as a 12 year old and thinking, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be an experiment. To have the psychic power for fire is awesome. Although telekinesis would be better. This is the story which got me started into these paranormal kind of stories.

I was okay with the paranormal aspect of this story because it wasn't really the point. It's a story about people who want to take a little girl away from her father, and his efforts to protect her. And that was a good story.
