The best character in the series comes at the end - Rinna adds fascinating struggles and a whole new power to the mix, but I may have reached the end of my capacity to marathon Hale's books, as I found this one a bit more of a struggle to get through. Alternately, that could be down to the structure...

Forest-Born, the last book of The Books of Bayern series, follows Rin, Razo's little sister. Unlike the main characters of the other books, Rin only shows up in this book, although she is mentioned in the third one. She lives in the Forest, but is no longer comfortable there. My least favorite of the Books of Bayern series. I was bored and didn't like the character or the story as much as the previous three.

Of course, I'd never miss the 4th sequel from the Books of Bayern for anything in the world! However, I have to admit that I struggled with reading Forest Born. I read over some of the parts 2 or 3 times before moving forward just to create my own image of how it actually happens. I cannot imagine ho...
