Franci McMahon is the author of three novels, short stories, works in anthologies and creative non-fiction, and a Hedgebrook alumnae. She was the offspring of ranchers and homesteaders from Alberta and Washington. As a teen she was dragged kicking and screaming to the other Washington, (D.C.) where it proved a fertile ground for discovering her lesbianism. After the first draft of her first novel, Staying the Distance she made the move back to the west of her heart and now lives in Montana and winters in Arizona. Bold Strokes Books has given her the opportunity to thoroughly revise both Night Mare and Staying the Distance, due out in e-book 2016. White Horse in Winter, the sequel to Night Mare is available for preorder, or buy her books direct from the publisher at www.boldstrokesbooks.com
