It does OK. There are some excellent passages on the relationship of the old with the young, and curiosity, and trying to find meaning to things that have no answers. And eldritch horror galore. Not one of those "Help me, I can't stop reading" page-turners that sometimes King pops on you, though...

Had this error been in an indie book, it wouldn't have, but this is far far from an indie book. Mr. King, please inform your editor that "rubed" is not a word....
