My name is Griselda Gifford. I was born in Monte Carlo as my father had a gambling system, which failed!! but I went to school in the UK. For a while, I was a child model, always in white socks and with Shirley Temple curls - working for people like J.Walter Thompson. A picture of me eating a banana was advertised on London buses for some time - my children make obvious rude comments! We moved a great deal so I went to eight schools, ending up in a boarding-school in Kent. I'm married to a scientist and have two children, two step-children and five step-grandchildren - also an elderly and much loved dog, Toby.. I am the author of 30 books for children and young teens. A story based in WW2, House of Spies, is for sale on Amazon Kindle. I have just finished an historical novel for young teens, based on the elopement of my great-great grandmother whose father was the Duke of Gloucester, brother of George 3rd.I've made many school visits, including one to Texas and another more recently to Paris, France and very much enjoy meeting the children and talking about my books - also selling them!
