I really enjoyed this. There was a lot of angst but it made sense. I'm a sucker for people at rock bottom, particularly addicts. I like real people who've made really poor decisions but who are basically good. I love characters who have had something awful happen to them and they are trying to cope....

3.5 stars. Good read, but alot of unnecessary descriptions. Which made for very pretty writing, but I really only got to know the cop. Glad I read it on my kindle so I could figure out what some of the words used meant! (which makes me sound sort of dumb, but I've never seen a few of those words bef...

As gorgeous, vibrant and powerful as everything Harper Fox writes. Vince and Rowan come alive on the pages, and it's so easy to fall into their story, to feel every sharp, jagged moment they go through to get their happy ending. This is easily a favorite, and one I'll definitely be reading again and...

Okay, that was lovely and all, but Harper Fox really, really needs to write a sequel starring Jacky.

Harper Fox has a way about her writing: she can make anything beautiful…and she seems to choose broken people, mired in hopelessness, intertwines these depressing situations with her lyrical prose and makes something…LOVELY. What I like best about her books: her couples LOVE desperately and deeply....

Another great one - I love the writing, the way the MCs fall in love, an all around great read.

Two very flawed characters who had to fight tooth and nail to get a second chance at a good life and love.Harper Fox did a beautiful job with combining a sedate, almost stark tone un this book from Vince's POV with Rowans reluctant determination and then TWISTED it all around. They saved each other,...

Harper Fox is always a bit hit and miss for me, but I really liked this story.

Amazingly written, subtly written. The different elements come together in a beautiful rhapsody of sensations, something like that. The characterization is nice and the plot is abstract, yes, but also concrete enough for it to be understandable and relatable.Fox also leaves us with that edge of hear...

Well, I love Harper Fox’s writing style- yes, it did seem strangely clunky at first and took me a while to make a connection with the narrator, Vince, who seemed distant and cool. But at the 40% mark the pace picked up. As Vince’s controlled, well ordered life starts to unravel and well, fall to pie...
