This is fan fiction of a sort for the TV show Castle. I have only seen 1 episode of the show so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got into this book. Heat Wave is a fun, fast-paced murder mystery. Detective Nikki Heat is brought onto a case that involves the murder of Matthew Starr, a real estate ...
Ladies, what would you do if I told you that the most handsome man on the whole planet will spend three glorious weeks with YOU at YOUR house? And all you have to do is make yourself a pot of jo, relax in a hammock, and of course slip on something comfy but sexy as well and the best part is you don’...
2.5/5 stars. This book tried too hard to be too many things. Writing was mostly decent (a few eye rolls but not too many), I at least finished it, which is more I can say for one others, haha. But I won't be reading any more of the series.
For those that don't know, Castle is a fantastic police procedural on TV with protagonists Kate Beckett and Richard Castle. Kate is the tough woman who's been personally touched by a murderer and rocking it in a man's world. Richard Castle is the funny, geeky successful crime novelist that has poker...
This is one of my first “real” reviews. Please let me know what I need to improve on and where I go completely wrong. Thank you!Heat Wave (Nikki Heat, #1), Cop Fiction/TV Show spinoff, Richard CastleThis book reads like the show and has all the characters. Detective Nikki Heat (Kate Beckett), Jameso...
If you're a fan of the TV show Castle, this is a ton of fun. This is the first of the books "written" by the titular character on the show, who's played by Nathan Filion. The story follows Detective Nikki Heat (Kate Beckett, played by Stana Katic on the show) as she investigates a murder, "assisted"...
This book was enjoyable but it read like a TV episode. This isn't shocking given that the book series is a piece of transmedia for the show. I didn't know when I downloaded the audio book, honestly I thought it was the book Castle was based on because I saw the ABC logo on the cover. Clearly I don't...
There’s no mistaking that this book definitely had a “this is like a television series episode type of feel... but choppier and a little amateurish... like fanfiction written by someone with no knowledge of literature prose... who is trying too hard to narrate the book in an extremely flippant fashi...
tl;dr this was kind of like a poorly done fan fiction of the tv show.... and I was hoping for more since these are supposed to be his book and supposed to show him being an amazing writer.... not all that impressed. Probably would not read another. Oooookay. So I happen to enjoy the TV show. I like ...
I liked it! It had a lot of things in common with the show that it's based on, 'Castle'- some scenes were taken straight off of the screen and put on the page but it was nice, as a fan of the show, to be able to recognise certain parts. It was your typical detective novel but with a twist of the rep...
