I really enjoyed reading this. It is short, funny and fast paced. I love the fact that Hiccup isn't the usual protagonist type is. He doesn't really fit into the viking type as well, but that makes him more enjoyable to read from and more relatable.

I didn't start reaily liking it untill chapter 14.
I think I liked this one more than the first, actually. I have three boys, so I giggle at farts and burps - there were plenty of both in this book. While it was definitely predictable, I still enjoyed it thoroughly. Book Toothless is infinitely better than movie Toothless. Fishlegs cracks me up....
I read these after watching the feature film from Dreamworks, which I greatly enjoyed. However, they are two very different things, no more so apparent than in the vastly different portrayals of Toothless. So, be aware of that. The books are amusing and easy reads for kids 7 and up.
