This opened right after an ambush by some supernaturals that injured Dani. They also got away. Because of that, I felt the start was a bit abrupt. The rest was rushed, but considering the length, not surprising. Since Dani was a slayer, some slaying (and action) would have been welcome.

I feel a tad guilty -This was a well written book, the characters developed and rounded, the H & the h both strong but....I can't put my finger on it. Their simmering attraction towards one another could have been written in any number of ways - the Christmas decorations, the overly jocular dialogue...
