Some of this is funny, but it's mostly obnoxious. I don't much like Stephen Colbert, but I thought I'd give the audio a shot. He's sarcastic and strange. And I hope most of the stuff in this book isn't really his true opinion. I'm assuming it's not, but who freaking knows. Wow. If you like his show,...

When I read this book back in 2010 I felt the book could really have benefited from Colbert himself, mannerisms and voice. I love Colbert's show and despite there still being the lack of mannerisms that I love on the show, the audiobook increased my enjoyment of the book the second time around. Whil...

I am going to get some slack for stating this, but I loved this book. Colbert has been on the scene for a while, but I just now discovered him and his wonderful jabs at the follies of our political system. This book made me laugh at some points to the brink of tears. This was a book that I came into reading thinking that I wouldn't like it. I was definitely wrong. It was hilarious, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys political humor.

I thought that this was kind of disappointing. In fairness, Colbert says right up front what this is going to be (his completely uninformed, unresearched, knee-jerk-reaction opinions), and it is that, so I guess it did deliver in that aspect - but I guess I just expected more. Stephen Colbert thrive...

A funny book, but, like most books of its type, it's more of a flip through than a steady read.Note: Having a transcription of the White House Correspondents Dinner routine is worth the cover price.

Classic Colbert. I enjoyed it, just not as much as say watching his show. I think Colbert is only complete with his mannerisms able to be viewed- such as his entertaining facial expressions. Also, at times it felt like he was trying too hard to be funny (not your style Colbert!).
