Asimov is one of the ABCs of SF: Asimov, Bradley and Clarke. To me the primary thing that these three authors have is that they are all overrated.I, Robot is OK, but that is all. It is a collection of linked short stories with a few reoccurring characters. The main thing that reoccurs is Asimov'...

Mr. Asimov, I liked your stories but I totally disliked your writing style. That being said I don't want to give up on you yet, considering you wrote over 500 books there has to be something in your works that I could find entertaining and not bore me to sleep.

More like a book of puzzles relating to how Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics have caused a problem, how the characters take advantage of the laws to solve the problem, and what it suggests about HUMANITY ITSELF! I think this would be a good one to read one chapter at a time over the cours...

In this book, Asimov explores his three laws of robotics. Each story applies the laws in surprising ways. This is a excellent book, and in its attempt to study robots, ends up having something to say about humanity as well.

This review is also available on my blog, Stumptown Books.I honestly knew very little about I, Robot before picking it up. I thought the Will Smith movie was true to the source material. I thought it was about robots overthrowing their fleshy overlords and becoming "more human than a human." Allo...

One of Asimov's favorite techniques was to devise a premise and then come up with ways of violating the premise. In the stories in this collection robots are programed to follow three fundamental laws in order to protect humanity. In each story some situation arises in which robots appear to behav...
