Wow, what a surprise....Gerritsen has crafted what I feel is her best effort to date with this book. Part whodunnit, part horror, with lots of characters interacting that takes the reader through an entire spectrum of emotions (fear, hate, love, friendship, technical, survival, etc.). I've always en...

Rizzoli and Isles return for book 8. I love these characters, they are so well written and their personalities shine through. Their interaction is brilliant, and their friendship strong. I think they could appear in any story and make it interesting and exciting.

I don't think I ever realized how much I like survivalist fiction (or at least notions of it).

First off, I would not recommend reading this out of order. There are lots of details that people must know and will be confused by if they do. That said, this book is excellent. I listened to it as an audiobook and it was sufficiently scary (though I was listening to it in a semi-strange house and ...

I did not particularly like this one...Spoilers from here on out...So the development of the characters, the one thing that bothered me was that the one time that Maura actually took a risk and did something wistful, it turns completely sour, and we will now no longer see Maura step outside the line...
