This was a short, well written read. I enjoyed Amaranthe and Sicarius from book 1 (The Emperor's Edge) and look forward to book 2 (Dark Currents). This is the story that got me hooked on Lindsay Buroker's work. Action, humour, and a well-thought out, original plot--what more can one ask for?I even re-read this from time to time.
