Mile 81 meets N. in this e-book collaboration between Stephen King and Joe Hill.In the Tall Grass begins with a sister and brother who pull off to the side of the road after hearing a young boy crying for help from beyond the tall grass. Within minutes they are disoriented, in deeper than seems possible, and they’ve lost one another. The boy’s cries are more and more desperate. What follows is a terrifying, entertaining, and masterfully told tale, as only Stephen King and Joe Hill can deliver. In the Tall Grass was originally published in two parts in the June/July and August 2012 issues of Esquire magazine. This is their second collaboration since the novella Throttle, published in 2009.

3.5 In the Tall Grass (audiobook) by Stephen King and Joe Hill, narrated by Stephen Lang
Becky and Cal are inseparable siblings. When Becky finds out she's pregnant, Cal is the most supportive member of their family. The two end up on a road trip that takes them by a field of tall grass out in the middle of nowhere. They happen to hear a lost young boy calling for help somewhere in the ...

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleOkay read. I listened to the audiobook on a car ride. I think actually reading as opposed to listening to it may have been better for me, because I just can't take it seriously when grown men try to read in children's voices. It always sounds kind of c...

5.0 Bone Chilling
Not too much to say about this short story besides there is no happy ending. I am warning you there is no happy ending. Also don't read and eat at the same time. I repeat, don't read and eat at the same time. King and Hill do a very good job with developing Cal and Becky (Irish twins) and my heart a...

4.0 In the Tall Grass Review
(Note: This is an old review that I'm adding to my Booklikes account. Not sure if I feel the same why now as I did when I first reviewed it, but this gives me a point of reference should I choose to revisit it.) "In the Tall Grass" is one of the more disturbing tales I've read. This is the first ...

3.0 'The Carpenters' get in trouble
Warning: it's shocking. This very short story, about a brother and sister who remind me of The Carpenters, drew me in. It's a good read. Recommended for fans of horror and the weird type of fiction that King does sometimes.
