It's been four years since I slept, and I suspect it is killing me.   Instead of sleeping, Parker Chipp enters the dream of the last person he's had eye contact with. He spends his nights crushed by other people's fear and pain, by their disturbing secrets--and Parker can never have dreams of his own. The severe exhaustion is crippling him. If nothing changes, Parker could soon be facing psychosis and even death.   Then he meets Mia. Her dreams, calm and beautifully uncomplicated, allow him blissful rest that is utterly addictive. Parker starts going to bizarre lengths to catch Mia's eye every day. Everyone at school thinks he's gone over the edge, even his best friend. And when Mia is threatened by a true stalker, everyone thinks it's Parker.   Suffering blackouts, Parker begins to wonder if he is turning into someone dangerous. What if the monster stalking Mia is him after all?

Insomnia is a gripping story that will keep you guessing. Parker hasn’t had real sleep in years. Instead, he enters the dreams of the last person he looks in the eyes. He tries his best to control who that is because some people have dark minds. He knows it’s only a matter of time before his body ...

Actual rating: 3.5 starsWow, I don't quite know what to say. I'm not sure what I think of this one, actually. Surreal, scary, unreal; it's like looking at a René Magritte painting. This book just wreaks havoc with my head. It features an unreliable narrator, and that's what took me for a spin. It wa...

This is not really your typical insomnia case though, in fact, I'm not quite sure what it really is. I wanted to love this book, I really did, but it was not great f...
