This book is so graphic and scary that probably 20 years after reading it, I still remember parts of the book.

John Douglas' best book. I would give it more stars if I could. It took me alot longer to read this book because of the detailed information in it. That being said, I would read it again in a moments notice..it was so good

I went through a big John Douglas phase and really, who can resist going through cases like Lizzie Borden, OJ, and Jean-Benet Ramsay (sp?) through the eyes of the original "Mindhunter"... Not I. A fast, interesting read if you dig true crime.

Note to self: just because you like someone's non-fiction doesn't mean their fiction will be worth the three hours it takes to read a book like this...

It's all clever-clever psychology and FBI, until you discover that the profiling thing doesn't actually work to catch criminals and that half the predictions are wrong.
