How many get the chance to be able to say that they've done exactly what they've always wanted to do? I am truly blessed. I am an author, graphic designer, editor, and teacher of over 15 years, and along the way had started a family. I've been writing since high school, when a red pen was the universal sign for a mistake, not a squiggly line. (I will be buried with a red pen in my hand.) Having written several different genres of books but finding traditional publishing industry to be tear inducing, I abandoned my lifelong desire to be a published author and focused on my children.A few years back, I bought myself an iPod, and found ... self-publishing. I still read voraciously, and with the indie and self-publishing revolution hitting traditional paper books on the back of the head, I began to hope. Thrilled with the prospect of finally getting my books published, because the voices just won't leave me alone, I formatted my files for eBooks, created the covers, and uploaded... and my life hasn't been the same since.The name Julie L.
