I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where I lived some of the same experiences Chanti Evans does in the Langdon Prep series: I attended a prep school where I didn't fit in, my mom was a police detective, and I always wanted to help her solve crimes. Like Chanti, I have lived most of my life around law enforcement types, including my husband, so I have no fear of running out of story ideas. But that's about where the similarities end. I'm not fearless enough to be a detective, although I did give my two cents on some of my mother's cases whether she asked or not (she almost never did). Luckily, writing fiction gives me the chance to play a detective on paper and do one of my favorite things in the universe - tell stories. Regardless, if the concept piqued your interest...

I am very glad to have gone to public school, Langdon Prep is "scary" and Chanti has a hard row to hoe if she graduates from that crazy place!

The plot in this book really took off from page one. A trouble teen getting shipped off to a new school? A te...

This was fun read, with a wise-cracking heroine who just can't keep herself out of trouble. It's a good thing she is clever enough to get herself back out of it! It's a fast read, with lots of mystery and a little bit of romance tossed in for good measure.Full review soon at www.mangamaniaccafe.co...
