Great detective story, well written, with enough twists and pointers in the story to keep you going to the end.Looking forward to reading my next "Rebus" novel.
Such a quick clever read. The first Inspector Rebus novel, in which Rebus is a Detective Sergeant. He's a hard drinking, hard working smoker with a failed marriage and a young daughter. A man who spent time in the Army, in the SAS and suffered a nervous breakdown after leaving - then he joined the ...

The reason it got the "not-too-excited" rating is because I figured out who it was well before the midpoint of the book - which is not a good thing for ANY detective story. I guess thats why I dont read myst...
