I picked up this book and it's sequel, The Blade of Fortriu, because I had read Marillier's Sevenwaters Trilogy. I am happy I did! This was just as entertaining and engaging as her Sevenwaters Trilogy. That being said...I recommend Sevenwaters over this one, but you should still enjoy these two.
