I had accidently seen the Masterpiece Mystery version of this book prior to reading it and absolutely loved it. I was thrilled when the book was just as good as the movie version. With HM books/Masterpiece Mystery, frequently I prefer the movies to the book.
After read most of Wallander's mysteries I still can say this is my favorite of all them. :)
