I know a lot of people love this book and I admit it is well written but it just wasn't for me. My main problems with it are that I dislike the hero and don't really care what happens to him and more importantly I couldn't stomach all the graphic violence. And there is a LOT of very graphic violen...
Just not my thing. I never got a handle on the tone - it was almost lite a la Julie Garwood (especially with the heroine, oy), but then got all angsty, but there was lots of banter, but it was almost too light after the rough treatment.
I didn't expect to like this book as well as I did. The H did some awful things but the groveling redeemed him at least a little. If the horrible thigs occurred under different circumstances, it wouldn't have been enough. Even during the darker moments, there were sub plots that kept the story ba...
