This paper discusses the issue of arts being left behind due to the No Child Left Behind act which was signed into law by President Bush in 2001. It shows how the time of education on arts have been reduced and the main factors for those and the importance of arts in education. It concludes with a solution to bring the education of arts back to the lives of our future generation. This article looks at the main reasons for reduction in the education in arts, funding and time. Not enough funding and the time consumption on arts were the main reason for arts education to being reduced. It also introduces the side effect that art teachers have been losing their jobs. In the next few sections it focuses on the importance of arts in education. Arts helps the brain to organize more letting the children learn more efficiently. Also arts has been a factor in our economy. Art also helps people socialize adding variations to our lives. Arts helps with mental health care helping the student’s performance in many aspects of life. It is important for us to advocate the importance of art and the government to fun and emphasize the education of art.
