This book was definitely one of the most depressing books I have ever read. This book was really interesting from the beginning and progressed from there. I thought this book was very well written and enjoyable. For the most part in the book the main character is alone with her thoughts, this create...

Rated 3.5, but the inconsistencies brought me to choose between the lower spectrum than the higher(3 representing 3.5 opposed to 4).I enjoyed it, and it was big on diversity. But at times there were just too many characters to connect with anyone.my full review can be seen here :)http://guinandliber...

Mermaids! Sisterhood! A little bit of darkness, I can get into a book like that.Only, oh. :( They're mean mermaids and the whole book is a bunch of catty passive aggressive arguments with sprinkles of undying love that makes no sense at all. Even our main heroine, who is above all this petty arguing...

Initially it almost seems like a dream come true when Luce is transformed into a mermaid, because for the first time in her life she has friends, a powerful body and an incredible ability to sing personal songs that are beautiful enough to control the seas, but this is not a simple story with a shin...

This book was.. Beautiful, disturbing, hauntingly addictive. I could go on and on. Sarah Porter took Mermaid and Siren lore and twisted it into something that left me.. at lost for words at times. In this story mermaids are girls who have had some of the harshest of lives. The ones who feel unloved,...

Concept: A+++Plot: B-Character Development: CWriting: APacing: BEnding: BCover Art: BI loved the concept behind this book because it was much closer to the roots of mermaids than other mermaid movies or books I've encountered. Mermaids are water creatures, and with few exceptions, female water creat...

Let me say right away, I did not finish this book. I have no idea how it ends nor do I really care to. But, I feel that I listened to enough of it to form an opinion and therefore give a partial review. I have read a lot of reviews on this book and most people seemed to like it. I just couldn't brin...
