This was a sweet treat! I loved it. Both shorts were well written and complete and I absolutely loved Lea and Jon. They balanced each other perfectly. There was a little bit of heat, humor, mystery, danger, and sadness to satisfy me. I just wanted more! 4.5 stars.

I am known for intensely disliking short stories. But dang it, these were so good! They deserve to be full length novels. Lou, are you listening?

I liked this, but definitely wanted more. Because of the length of the book, it was a quick read and not as satisfying as I would have hoped. Not enough detail and depth, felt like I wanted a little more.

The story was ok. I liked the story and the characters, but the mystery didn't work for me, probably because the sense of justice was missing since the cases solved were old cases with dead culprits or in one, an accidental death.

Dead in L.A. features book one and two of the L.A. Paranormal series and was my first novel by Lou Harper. I went into this series knowing it being primarily a mystery, thereby not expecting too much romance between the two heroes. My problem with the stories was that with no main focus on the roman...
