A romantic and enjoyable cowboy story with probably the weirdest first sex scene I’ve ever read. But somewhere around the last third of the book, the story changed completely. Sadly in a way I didn’t like so much.
This was a good read. Not fantastically original and not brilliant, but it had solid writing, and great atmosphere. I didn't dig the whole rescued-animal-comparison, but overall it was a pleasant and enjoyable read. And it had a sexy cowboy with blond hair and blue eyes...one of my many weakness...

I really enjoyed this hurt/comfort cowboy story. I love stories that play with the healing power of nature and animals and, well, damn good men. This looks like it will be crazy fucking amazing!!
I enjoyed it, but rolled my eyes when it got to the "crime and hatred" part. That just seemed too OTT melodramatic to me, and sort of ruined the rest of the story from that point on.
