This book is a prize. It is not only a good historical romance, but it has a good message for all Christians. It is obvious that MaryLu has an excellent grasp on the grace and mercy of God and it comes out in her writing very well. The message is better than most sermons. The story line grips the re...
I really loved this book. I haven't read many historical fiction books, but I stumbled upon this one, and am so glad I did! This is by far on of my favorite books to read! Being a Christian, I am more comfortable reading a book written with Christian morals and by Christian authors, but like movies,...
I'm so excited! I'm finally getting back into all my favourite Christian authors (after a break of reading a lot of general YA fiction) and a lot of them have new series' for me to get into! And since they're adults, writing books for adults, I'll be more in my age group.

A well written, jaw dropping, enlightening, frustrating, on the edge of your seat read. I'll have to ponder on this review. It must be worthy of this read. I LOVED it!

Grade: DNFOh, fudge. I really really really wanted to love this – an intriguing premise, a pre-Civil War Southern setting and scads of five-star reviews. Unfortunately, I only made it about a third of the way through. The anachronisms and the logic issues and the sermonizing and the awkward mix of p...
Actually pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of christian fiction but at least the actual story overshadowed the proselytizing. Great story line, believable dialogue, lots of action.
