This series just gets better and better! Magic Strikes is the third book in the Kate Daniels series and I loved it just as much as the others. In this one, Kate has been drafted to work in the Order as a sort of liaison between the Pack and the Order. She is on shaky ground with them, even though ...

This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life. There is a strong likelihood that this review is really going to sound more like gushing than anything else. I am okay with that and hope you are as well. I am a HUGE fan of this series and have been for since I found the series in early 2012. ...

Remember that stone's curse? His gaze fastened on the Wolf Diamond, still sitting on its pedestal. He lunged for it. His bloodied fingers grasped the topaz. He backed away and bumped into my cage.I thrust through the bars and stabbed Livie’s knife into the base of his throat, (...) Curran swept ...

Interesting. At least in this one, she knew what was going on, so it was just a matter of coming up with a plan. Also interesting to find out what Saiman actually is. And...Curran to the rescue. I have to say, you kinda wonder about a world where people don't bat an eye at the appearance of a troll.

I've been on an urban fantasy kick and have been devouring this series. In this book we find out more about Kate's childhood, the sexual tension increases, and Kate and crew get all gladiatorial. We also meet Dali a genius legally blind werecat. There is a lot of humor and self depreciation that ru...
