Maxwell Alexander Drake, or Drake as he prefers to be called, is an award-winning Science Fiction/Fantasy author and Graphic Novelist. He is best known for his fantasy series, The Genesis of Oblivion Saga.He teaches Creative Writing all around the country at schools, libraries, writers' conferences and fan events such as Comic-Con International in San Diego, Gen-Con in Indianapolis and Origins Game Fair in Columbus GA.His first novel, Farmers & Mercenaries - Book One of the Genesis of Oblivion Saga, was released in June of 2009 and won both a 2009 Moonbeam Young Adult Fantasy Award for Excellence in Literature, as well as being named Dragon Roots Magazine's Best New Fantasy Saga of 2009.Book two of this saga, Mortals & Deities, was released in September 2010 to an ever-growing fan base. It has received wonderful reviews from both critics and fans alike. It also won a 2011 Moonbeam Young Adult Fantasy Award for Excellence in Literature. Book three of this series, Dreams & Nightmares, is scheduled for release in April of 2012.The Way of the Lion - A Genesis of Oblivion Saga Short, was published in the 2010 Dragon Root Magazine's Gen-Con author's collection Missing Pieces and took their Editor's Choice Award.
