I bought this book on a whim from BookCloseouts.com's $1.99 fiction sale, and I am really pleased that I did. The world is original, the characters are believable and intriguing, the plot is compelling, and I really want to read more about Mildmay and Felix.
The first half of the book is flawless, but the second half is really a different story altogether, and it's really not quite as good. Still, I'll definitely be following Monette!
