I like these subject-focused little books, especially when I'm not in the mood to read a full-blown bio. And this one doesn't disappoint. At times it's a little heavy on the Pope Julius info, but then again he was the reason Michelangelo was doing what he was doing at the time.
I enjoy Ross King's writing on topics of art history. He presents the facts in an entertaining way that does not read like a text book and, he is a welcome addition to my library of Canadian born authors.
