It felt like that sometimes. It picked up very nicely, though it took long enough though. A shitty way for Essex to take his leave. It should have been Diamond.

Just after lunch on a Tuesday in April, nine feet under water, police diver Flea Marley closes her gloved fingers around a human hand. The fact that there's no body attached is disturbing enough. Yet more disturbing is the discovery, a day later, of the matching hand. Both have been recently amputat...

One of the best things when it comes to reading is discovering new authors. I have wanted to read Mo Hayder's Jack Caffery series for a long time and now I have finally read the book three in the series. And, Ritual is a pretty awesome book, with a compelling story and interesting main characters.I ...

Mo Hayder's books are as far away from cozy as can be. Jack Caffery is not a carefree hero and the cases he is confronted with take him into the darkest corners of human nature. I thought I'd take a break from cozy mysteries and read a real mystery for a change. This one was recommended by a friend, with the caveat that it was gory. And there were moments when it was a little bloody, but after reading Stuart MacBride, I 'd have to say it was lite gory. Like, PG-13 gory, ...

This read didn't go quite as I planned... Having borrowed several Mo Hayder audio books from the library I was looking forward to listening to them on my way to work. Sadly when I started on The Treatment the first disc was completely ruined and I didn't want to listen to the rest when I missed out ...

This is the second book in the series, I would recommend reading the first (Birdman) before starting this one as it does refer back to the story quite a bit even though the crime is unrelated. If you liked the first book, you will very probably enjoy this one as well. Mo Hayder delivers a very thrill...
