The final volume of this series, and after having read it three or four times now, I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It wraps things up fairly well, and its nice to see Roji's growth from what he was capable of at the start to what he was capable of at the finish. the relationship between our ...
The main arc of the story is over, and while this book is still reasonable strong and still interesting, it felt like it belonged back in the first few volumes. The story is finally taking a look at how the real world relates to Magical Law, something which probably should have been broached much ea...
A decent volume, but there was just a lot in this issue that seemed to come out of left field. However, getting the humanization of the Cortlaws and their struggles was well worth it.
A fantastic wrapup to what's been the overarching story since I think volume 2. Teeki finally proves himself to be a truly powerful foe and the fate of pretty much everything hangs in the balance as Muhyo and his team try to finish an ultimate weapon to send him below.
I never thought I'd be this invested in Goryo and Ebisu winning a fight, but I think the epic one they have in this volumes is one of my favorites in the whole series.
Back to the MLS we go after saving two characters from certain death! But the MLS is no longer as safe as it once was. Roji meets Gingi and learns what happens to all the people who aren't lucky enough to be as talented as those like Muhyo or Yoichi. Meanwhile, the group is after one last item in th...
Well, I was complaining about the last issue being a little bloated. Not so here, as the story hones in on two different points and pushes through both to a really satisfactory conclusion. We get a lot of character development for an unexpected character, and the whole thing was hard to put down and...
The rules of the game are changing. :)As those who want to find a way to save Enchu close in on Ark, a member of the team finds themselves in dire straits and another finds himself facing a far tougher obstacle than he's guessed. While the stuff in this issue was still interesting, it also felt at t...
Another strong volume. We get to meet a couple different members of Ark here, and discover that while they all may work for the same group, they have a variety of goals and motivations - all of which edge into vaguely creepy territory.
The finishing of one arc and the beginning of the next. After all the excitement and fear of facing down the first major foray of Ark, Muhyo and Roji come back to face a more mundane threat - not just in new antagonists Goryo and Ebisu, but also in the title characters having to look at their partne...
