3.5 to 4 starsLoved the action, struggled with the protagonists. They aren't particularly likable, or rational, which made me doubt they would, indeed, survive the end of the world. There's a lot of sexual tension, but Mason and Jenna's relationship never seemed to grow from sex and lust to love. ...

This review was originally posted on One Curvy Blogger Old review from my Booklikes account I found Nightfall while I exploring the "post-apocalyptic" genre on Goodreads. I went into this novel skeptically after spotting a few discouraging reviews. Thankfully they didn't sway me from purchasing this...

All I can say is wow. This book was so different than anything I've read. The only thing close to it would be maybe Kate Daniels but still not even close. I'm dying to read the next book but I gotta get it first. I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
One Book Away From an Episode of Hoarders
The cover made me think it was a bodice-ripper and the synopsis seemed more urban fantasy than dystopian. It's been on my shelf at home FOREVER.I really liked this book. It basically chronicles the start of the Dark Age where all technology fails and horrible beasts hunt the survivors. We follow one...

When I first heard about this book. I wasn't sure if I would read it. Why was I unsure? Couldn't tell you. Maybe because it was so different from what I usually read. This factor is also what eventually led me to read it. Yes, it was very different. The horror aspect of the book is what I don't read...

I really wish I could give 1/2 stars on here. Not quite a 3 or a 4, a solid 3.5*. I was nice and rounded up.I really didn't like John. He was an asshole for most of the book. He does become less of an asshole, but I thought it was a little too quick. I did like Jenna, she does stand up to the A...

3.75 stars. Not at all what I was expecting; some spots had me shaking my head in disbelief, others I was at the edge of my seat.

Enjoyed the book, except for the epilogue, which I wish would have either been added to the book, or maybe added to the next one in this series. Different take on the post-apocalyptic world.

I'm not a fan of this genre but I liked the cover so I picked it up. And in June, I needed to read a book starting with "N" so I though WTH I'll give this one a try and surprisingly I enjoyed it.It starts out a little rough with Mason being secretive and a real ass. I so did not like him at all, as...
