When Cammie Morgan enrolled at the Gallagher Academy, she knew she was preparing for the dangerous life of a spy. What she didn’t know was that the serious, real-life danger would start during her junior year of high school. But that’s exactly what happened two months ago when Cammie faced off again...
I really enjoy this series. Though I think originally it was only to be a stand alone. The first book is so different in tone from the rest of the series. And it has no Zach, who in my opinion is far superior from Josh. I have to say though, I really enjoy this series evolution from cutsey to a ...
I'd read the Kat Bishop books, and some Ally Carter was just what I was in the mood for. Of course, this was the middle of a series, which I hadn't realized. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself, though I did wonder what would happen if Cammie and Kat had a showdown. (Kat all the way!) (Sorry, Cammie.) (De...
I feel that this is one of those rare instances where the later books of a series are better than the original. I personally found the first couple books a bit bland, but this one blew me away. It is packed with action and I literally could not stop reading. Looking forward to the next one.
Probably the best book of them all so far, Only the Good Spy Young kept me flipping the pages eager to find out what happens next. I knew, from the third book, that this story arc would be a really good one. I wasn't disappointed at all. We still don't find all the answers in this book, but I'm look...
Good, but more of the same. It had some good reveals as we finally learn a lot more about Zach, but I just feel like these books aren't enough to stand on their own. Too little there for me, but would appeal to a lot younger audience. Reminds me of the Sweet Valley twins books of my day.
3.5 starsWherein I actually said, "I really want to read #5! I really do want to know what happens here." Whereas before it was merely, "Oh, look. The library has those other four books Ally wrote - I'll mozy on through them." One and two were a struggle for me, three and four a breeze. Really like...
I might be biased here :) but I've been reading Ally Carter for a few years already and can't help but love the direction the books are taking. The series started off with this humorous mischievous feel to them, and as Cammie, Macey, Bex and Liz grew, so as the undertones of books changed bit by bit....
This series has steadily improved since the first book. "Only the Good Spy Young" is exciting, fun, has character development, well written, and a thoroughly enjoyable read. The fifth book is out but we're waiting on 6.
