Enjoyed the start, tolerated the premise, liked the descriptions and the voice of the reader, Bronson Pinchot. Not the most even of narratives, and the ending seemed a bit sudden.

Meh. I found this rather annoying and pointless. It wasn't terrible, and I managed to slog through, but it was a near thing. Neither erotic, nor enchanting, in my view.

Matheson's attempt at fantasy has more then a few moments of horror and he should have stuck to that genre. This is a great story as the author will tell you. Once you get around page 120. Turns into a love story, really boring after that. Besides a couple fight sequences with Alex's worst enemy & a griffen.I had high expertations for this book, because I am a huge Matheson fan.
