Books on WWII, Jewish Novel, and Health for Baby Boomers and Seniors are my main writing niches. I also have written many books for aspiring authors. My interest in the Jewish historical novel, most dealing with aspects of the holocaust comes from the fact that I was born in Austria in 1933, as Hitler and his Nazi party took power. Fortunately the passing of the Nuremburg anti-Jewish laws signaled my family to get out of Europe, which we did in 1933, surely saving all of us from the death that took 6,000,000 of our co-religionists.Being a survivor, I've felt it an obligation to keep the fact of those horrible event alive - teaching through my writing. I've always felt that the best way to present history is through the historical novel, which can tell the stories of people who lived that history, and not just the raw facts.Having my professional background in medicine I learned early on from my patients that one of their biggest complaints was they had difficulty understanding what their doctors and nurses were trying to tell them. This encouraged me to write medical self help book which translated medical and scientific language into easily read and understood lay language. As I have aged my non-fiction has gone more and more to illnesses and sexual matters that face Baby Boomers and Senior Citizens.I do not have a literary background, though I did a year of graduate study at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in 1964 and practiced for 44 years, first as a General Practitioner, and the last 30 as an E.R. doc. I began writing as an avocation to help me unwind after a long day in the E.R. My writing went these two directions, one Historical Fiction, and the other Medical Self-Help, my forte translating medical information into easily understood lay language.My Historical Novels deal mainly with Judaica, Holocaust, and Biblical History.
