So this was a fun young adult novel taking a look at the "Beast" in Beauty and the Beast. Deciding to focus on high schooler Kyle Kingsbury (the most popular guy ever) and show him over a period of two years change from self obsessed to a thoughtful and kind person works. The main reason why I gave ...

I really liked the idea of looking at the story of Beauty and the Beast from a male perspective. I always have thought of the story as more of the transformation of a man from an unkind human being to one who understands and appreciates the world around him, especially with iterations such as the Di...

I didn't realize this was a book like beauty and the beast. I absolutely loved it. I really enjoyed how the author incorporated a "chat room" page into the book. I thought that was a really neat idea. It was very well written and I will definetly be buying my own copy for my collection!

I think the very reason that this book worked for me was that, I haven’t read a lot of books about Beauty and the Beast. This book isn’t really exceptional, maybe back 2007 when it was published yes, but now a day I think not. Despite that I still enjoyed this book. I liked the author’s writing. S...

Okay...let's do this. I give this book a star for one thing. The story concept. I was a huge fan of Beauty and The Beast growing up, like literally, that movie was life for me back then, so naturally I love the concept of modernizing the story. Unfortunately, the TV show, the film based of...

I have been wanting to read this for a little while now. I adored Beastly (and several of Alex’s other works) and the idea of re-reading Beastly from Lindy’s perspective was hype enough to make me want to read it. And I wasn’t disappointed. This little novella is exactly what it’s advertised as, a r...

Beastly is a heartwarming, wonderfully retold version of Beauty and the Beast. It is a very delightful read, with the chat sessions, the modern-day setting, the wide range of emotions, lots of references to classics, and tons of roses. It is just perfect. I expected a fairy tale retold, I’m not disa...

I initially placed this book on my To-Read shelf on a bit of a whim - the summary hadn't exactly won me over, and some of the reviews were none too forgiving. However, I figured that I needed to broaden my horizons and give it a try, instead of trying to judge a book by its cover. So here I am, 24...
