Dear Reader,After being published in fourteen historical western romances, most of them with Harlequin Historicals, I’m really enjoying the new turn my career has taken. I’ve jumped in feet first with a new 1920s series called The Secret Six, and it’s chock-full of Mafia, Prohibition, suspense, and of course, romance. THE SPYGLASS PROJECT kicked off the series, and I released a short story, IN THE ENEMY’S SHADOW, soon after. Now, I’m super excited to offer you Book 2, THE BREWER’S DAUGHTER! Coming soon: KISSES LIKE WINE - Book 3! Of course, I can’t forget my first romantic suspense, HER MOTHER'S KILLER, or the popular boxed set of four of my historical western romances, IN THE ARMS OF A COWBOY, four for the price of one. I'm a long-time member of Romance Writers of America, Romance Authors of the Heartland, and I'm one of the founding fillies of Petticoats and Pistols, a popular blogsite for western romance. I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Doug, and we have four daughters, all married with sweet grandchildren we just love to pieces. I’m having a ball being retired and doing what I'm most passionate about: writing books.www.pamcrooks.comwww.facebook.com/pamcrooksauthorTwitter @pamcrookswww.swankykitchen.com (my new food blog!)

The heroine drove me batshit crazy. She alternated between blaming the hero for her family's woes and noting that her brother and mother weren't the most upstanding folks. She never did acknowledge that they brought their fate upon themselves. I never did see what the hero saw in her. She seemed imm...

This was the first book I read by Pam Crooks, and it made me a fan of hers. Quinn is a dangerous and desperate man. He is hardened and mean from being wrongly imprisioned for so many years. When he gets the chance to escape from prison, he takes it, even though it means kidnapping a nun in the pro...

This book reminds me of how much I love westerns. All of the authors in this volume are dependable writers of good romance, and they don't fail you. Cheryl has the wonderful beta hero in Seth that she is so good at writing. You will fall for him, just as Marvel does. I also like the Marvel is no...

Imagine a desperate heroine. Imagine a cold, ruthless hero. Imagine having your child stolen from your arms and having no recourse. Well that is what happens in this book. The realism is incredible, but the love story overshadows it. So vividly written, you feel as though you are watching an ol...
