Series: Commonwealth Saga #1 It is finally over! Alright, I probably shouldn't sound so relieved when I've already started listening to its sequel, which is even longer. This book is flawed in several ways but I still found it interesting and want to see where we go in the sequel. Basically, t...
Wow!! This book (and I include the continuation novel Judas Unchained) is the kitchen sink of sci-fi ideas and implementation all incorporated in a highly entertaining story. This was the first novel I read from Peter F. Hamilton and he gives you plenty of aliens, a new twist on travel between worlds...

Why did it take so long for everything to get going? I like the characters, I like the subplots, I like the expansive world...but I was waiting on edge for them all to weave together. Still with all the recommendations I have been getting from the good people at Reddit's science fiction books community ("r/Print SF") and other reviews I wanted to give it a go. With a book this long I would end up either rating ...
I must say - it's a first class sci-fi novel. Vastly complex in it's approach to the society of the future, very intruguing in its description of what may happen. A Star Gate novel - only so much better then the TV series/movie could ever be! Plus: aliens that are truly and genuinely ALIEN!
