Patrick McDaid lives and writes in Rosemont PA in the States and in Clooncarney, Donegal, Republic of Ireland. He is a Professor Emeritus at a community college in suburban Philadelphia, having served as Director of the Theatre program, teacher of theatre arts, writing for the stage, and creative writing. His primary influences are his Irish history, the United states Marine Corps, and what he has learned from his family, a barrel of his students and an occasional teacher. Land surveying, pumping gas, driving a cab, serving as a security guard, a truck driver, and a high school English teacher improved his manners, his humanity, and his world view.
