Reading is my ESCAPE from Reality!

I listened to this book on audio, and while I didn't find it scary, it was definitely bloody and gory in a slasher film kind of way. Sara and Martin are guardians to six difficult, troubled, teenagers. They take them camping on an island that is supposedly deserted. But, surprise, the island is h...

The Characters: Gabrielle AlekseiFein (Fane?) Trixie The Story: I’m honestly too lazy to write a decent review right now. I was shocked to see how Gabrielle turned out. I was really rooting for her and Gary. But it all came together in the end. I’m so elated for Trixie and Fein (Fane?). I’m also rea...

Unfortunately, I found this story quite dull. I disliked the main character. I just found her very blah and whiney and annoying. It finally got interesting at the end, so I am a little interested in seeing where the story goes but I'm not in a hurry to find out.

My review and an extended sample of the audiobook are posted at Hotlistens.com. I saw this book on an Audible two for one credit and picked it up. The name of the narrator is what really caught my eye. Phil Gigante is well known in the paranormal romance and urban fantasy world for his work narrat...

This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life.4 Stars!I did not expect to enjoy this book nearly as much as I did in the end. This book is incredibly original with enough humor that I found myself chucking every once in a while. I have a slightly weird sense of humor and something about t...

Back to the Fever series. This was the first one to come out since I had caught up on the series, and it was another great book. I do feel a bit bad for the series, since it is clear that based on the backlash Iced got, the idea of a Dani O'Malley trilogy is gone. I was looking through Shadowfever...

so this was a relisten, and I caught a lot of things that I missed the first time around....and for the ending I remember how pissed off I was with the cliffhanger and the fact that I was going to have to wait a year for the answers. And while I did like the narration by Joyce Bean on the first thre...

There's nothing quite like a fast paced thriller to keep the blood pumping. Well, except perhaps a double shot of espresso washing down a hit of speed after an eightball. I think reading might be easier on the heart, though.Jeremy Robinson's Secondworld has probably one of the more suspenseful openi...

I enjoyed 75% of the story. When Drustan is awoken after 500 years of slumber by a scantily clad lass on top of him he is instantly intrigued and aroused. Gwen is on a mission to find her cherry picker. The man who will finally take her virginity. When she lands on Drustan she is literally swept...
