But at that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people: and a time shall come such as never was from the time that nations began even until that time." (Daniel 12:1) Pope Michael was consecrated bishop on December 10th 2012. He received his apostolic lines through Duarte Costa. Pope Michael was elected to the papacy on July 16, 1990. This 22 year gap between election to the papacy and consecration as bishop was in fulfilment of Sacred Scripture. "Between the porch and the altar the priests the Lord's ministers shall weep." (Joel 2:17) Pope Michael was a cleric immediately after his election to the papacy. Pope Pius XII said in 1957 in an address to a Congress on the Lay Apostolate: "If a layman were elected pope, he could accept the election only with the condition of being ready and willing to receive ordination; the capacity to teach and govern, as well as the charism of infallibility, would be granted to him as of the moment of its acceptance, even before his ordination." Canon 219 in the 1917 Code of Canon Law is written down as follows: "The Roman Pontiff legitimately elected obtains, from the moment he accepts the election, the full power of supreme jurisdiction by divine right." The ministers of the Lord wept because we could have not have the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It was taken away from us as was foretold 2,000 years ago by the Fathers of the Church. "The holy Fathers who have written upon the subject of Antichrist, and of these prophecies of Daniel, without a single exception, as far as I know, and they are the Fathers both of the East and of the West, the Greek and the Latin Church--all of them unanimously,--say that in the latter end of the world, during the reign of Antichrist, the holy sacrifice of the altar will cease." (Cardinal Manning, The Present Crisis of the Holy See) The holy Sacrifice of the Mass has ceased according to Sacred Scripture: "For the children of Israel shall sit many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without altar, and without ephod, and without theraphim. And after this the children of Israel shall return, and shall seek the Lord their God, and David their king: and they shall fear the Lord, and His goodness in the last days." [Osee 3:4-5] Pope Michael's first name before his papal election was David. David was chosen to lead the "children of Israel" (Catholics) to God. "And after this the children of Israel shall return, and shall seek the Lord their God, and David their king". How has David become king? David has become king by being elected to the papacy. For no man is higher than the Roman Pontiff. In the coronation of all popes the tiara is placed on the pope's head with the words: "Receive the tiara adorned with three crowns and know that thou art Father of princes and kings, Ruler of the world, Vicar of our Savior Jesus Christ." "We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty." (Pope Leo XIII, Apostolic Exhortation Praeclara Gratulationis Publicae) "Why is it the Pope has such tremendous power? Why, the Pope is the ruler of the world. All the emperors, all the kings, all the princes, all the presidents of the world are as these altar boys of mine. The Pope is the ruler of the world." [The Western Watchman, a paper published in St. Louis by Father D. S. Phelan, June 27th, 1912.] Why do we hear from Sacred Scripture that "they (Catholics) shall fear the Lord, and His goodness in the last days." The flock will be small. "Fear not, little flock." (Luke 12:32) Our little flock can only be found in Apocalypse 3:8, "thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name." And again this poor little flock will be headed by King David. "And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia, write: These things saith the Holy One and the true one, he that hath the key of David; he that openeth, and no man shutteth; shutteth, and no man openeth." (Apocalypse 3:7) David Allen Bawden was born on 22 September 1959 and was baptized on 18 October 1959.
