Spectacular. A race to the perfect ending, full of challenging, troubling, redemptive action and character development. Unflinching, subtle and heartbreakingly real

Well, I loved it so much that I had to run the child to the library as soon as it was done on the excuse of returning her library books, but really, so I could check out the next one. Bartimaeus is fabulously snarky, but this one really takes the time to explore how this alternate world England wo...

Quite a stunning ending for that one—and most appropriate, considering the parallels drawn previously throughout the book.

All I can say is that I'm just really sorry this was a trilogy and not a longer series. A fitting ending to a great trilogy, in any case.

A tad bit sad at the end, but a good redemption of the character.

What a great book! I'm just loving this series more and more, although I am curious if the story will continue with the next or rather be a sort of prequel. Nathaniel, Kitty, and Bartimaeus are just great characters. Stroud did a great job with their development. I can't wait to read more from him.
