Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs is a tale within a tale. Tales of the Peculiar is a book read by one of the characters to help find clues in the characters' journey.I thought this was a great addition to the series. Tales of the Peculiar, read by one of the characters, Millard Nullings, is a b...
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs is the third installment of the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series. It picks up where the second book leaves off.I can't say enough about this series. Fun, whimsical, strange, and yes, peculiar. A must read series.
Hollow City by Ransom Riggs is the second book in the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series. This book picks up where the last book leaves off. I absolutely love this series. It's whimsical and fun. The characters are so unique. The author creates a fantastic world, and the use of old pictures o...

Sixteen-year-old Jacob has questions after a family tragedy, which leads him to a remote island and to a ruined orphanage, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Plot...
I saw the movie before I had any experience of the books/comic, so I decided to begin with the graphic novel, as it was the quickest to read on holiday.I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed. It was all very simply done, not clever, and not very complicated or well thought out. I'm holding out hope...
Series: Miss Peregrine #3 And we have the finale. It was alright, I guess, although the world still doesn't really make sense to me. There seem so few ymbryns (sp?) and they all seem so concentrated in England that it just feels off. The books also try so hard to be child-centric or at least teena...
Series: Miss Peregrine #2 Meh? It suffers from second book syndrome (a not very convincing attempt to mislead the reader into thinking the cliffhanger ending is unexpected) and from general YA-ness (but I love you!). I've already started listening to the next book because my other options were...
Series: Miss Peregrine #1 I was pleasantly surprised by this book. What little I knew of it sounded weird, so I didn't know exactly what I was getting into or how the main character's story would tie into that of his grandfather's. I'm just trying not to look at some of the questionable internal l...
Love this graphic novel version of Peculiar Children - the story, the illustrations, the way it's black & white in the "normal" world and turns to color in the "loop". If you liked the original, you will surely enjoy this one. It even includes black & white photos found in the original book.
